Hi friends!

Welcome back to The Soul Playlist.

Lately, I’ve been reeeeally into podcasts (the inspirational ones, the funny ones, the relatable ones).

So, that leaves a little less time for the regular music finding I do.

Sidenote –

If you guys want some good podcast recommendations, they will be at the bottom of this post!

I’ve also been traveling, making an effort to spend quality time with friends and family, and getting sheeeeit done.

I recently got back from a trip to Austin with all of my best college girlfriends.

It was a wonderful reunion.

Austin is hot as shit.

But nonetheless, a great time.

When I flew back from Austin, there was a crying baby DIRECTLY behind us, which is always fun.

Obviously, I was exhausted from the weekend.

What saved me?

My noise-cancelling headphones.

I recently got some off Amazon and they have been one of the best purchases I’ve made in awhile.

Now, I know what you’re thinking –

‘Noise canceling headphones are v expensive, and I can’t afford a pair.’

But wait:

These are not an outlandish amount of money.

And I did my research, so they are actually really great headphones. AND they’re wireless.

Check them out if you’re in need of some noise canceling headphones.

Great for working out, flying, working somewhere loud.

I make it one of my priorities to be as healthy as I can in all aspects of life.

I sleep well, make my meals at home 95% of the time, exercise 3-4 times a week and have been starting to meditate every day.

Let’s talk about meditation.

Before I knew what meditation was, I thought it was some woo-woo thing that only monks did for hours on end.

There are convenient apps you can use for just 10 minutes a day, that just allow you to sit with your thoughts.

But –

There is no wrong way to meditate.

I’ve been using Headspace, and it really helps my anxiety levels.

Over time, it helps you to control your thoughts a bit instead of letting your mind go wild all of the time.

I try to do it in the morning before I start my day, and it’s been really nice.

I highly recommend it for everyone.

My favorite podcasts as of late have been….

  1. The Lady Gang
  2. Lewis Howes: School of Greatness
  3. Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe
  4. Bulletproof Radio

The Lady Gang, Lewis Howes and Bulletproof Radio all have many episodes to go back through and listen to, if you’re interested.

If you’re into health and bio-hacking, then you NEED to listen to Bulletproof Radio. It is hosted by Dave Asprey, the founder of Bulletproof.

He is a bio-hacking genius, interviews top health professionals, and talks about the human body like you wouldn’t believe.

I highly recommend it if you’re interested in learning more about your own body.

The Lady Gang and Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe are my comical outlets for the week. They both have new episodes on Tuesdays, and, not going to lie, I definitely look forward to getting that notification every Tuesday when I wake up.

I’m a big fan of funny ladies who are both entrepreneurs and hustlers.

All of these gals are, and then some. I laugh out loud every episode.
